Freda B. Kreischer, age 93, formerly of Summit Avenue, Bloomsburg, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 a patient of the Bloomsburg Hospital. Freda was a resident of Loyalton of Bloomsburg since July of 2008 and had been ill for three weeks.
Freda was born on Monday, April 2, 1917 at home in Bloomsburg, the daughter of the late Charles J. and Ethel R. Carl Kreischer. She was a member of the 1934 Graduating Class of the Bloomsburg High School. Until her retirement on January 31, 1992, Freda was employed by Walkers Jewelers in Bloomsburg for over 35 years. She was a life long member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg. She is survived by numerous cousins.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, from 10 A.M. until 11 am in the Church Parlor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 123 N. Market Street in Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel with Rev. Joel L. Zeiders officiating. Graveside Services will be held in New Rosemont Cemetery in Espy. The Kreischer family is being assisted by the Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market Street at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
