Fred D. Brown. Sr., age 78, of Danville and originally from Bloomsburg, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center.

He was born on Thursday, March 14, 1940 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Harry and Cora (Gower) Brown. On October 4, 1958, Fred married his loving wife, the former Lynda J. Lunger who preceded him in death on December 29, 2005. For many years, Fred was employed by former Housenick Ford of Bloomsburg. He enjoyed spending his time doing automotive repair. He retired from USR Metals, Bloomsburg.

In addition to his parents and wife, Fred was also preceded by twelve siblings, John Brown, Mary Winn, Violet Shultz, Grace Miller, Howard Brown, Ruth Featherman, Stanley Brown, Charlet Welliver, Betty Hartman, Paul Brown, David Brown, and Wilbur Brown.

Survivors include four children, Brenda Lee wife of Shiloh Lawton of Danville; Lori D. Baylor companion of Barry Geiger of Catawissa; Larry D. Brown and wife Pam of Bloomsburg; Fred D. Brown, Jr. and wife Helen of Danville; six grandchildren: Jason Welliver and companion Linda, Erica wife of Jared Minner, Robert Baylor III, Bruce Campbell and husband Chris, Annette Brown, and Hazel Pegg, and a brother, Kenneth Brown and wife Joanne of Bloomsburg; and 6 great grandchildren.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will immediately follow at 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in with Rev. Gary Jarrett, pastor of JourneyMate Wesleyan Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will be private in Elan Memorial Park. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Brown family.
