Frank "Randy" Brenchley, 74, of Scott Twp. passed away on November 22, 2024.
Frank was born on December 2, 1949 in Takoma Park, MD. He and his sister Gayle were adopted by Frank D. and Virginia Murray Brenchley in 1954 and grew up in Bethesda, MD. He spent his summers during his childhood swimming and fishing at Lake Mokoma in Laporte, PA where he made lifelong friendships.
Frank attended Massanutten Military Academy and then proudly served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vietnam where he was wounded during combat. After returning from Vietnam, Frank spent 13 months recovering from his injuries at Walter Reed Hospital. He then attended Bloomsburg State College and spent his career working for Merck in Riverside, PA.
Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing having traveled throughout North America to hunt and fish at several remote destinations. Frank also devoted much of his life helping and honoring veterans as a member of VFW Post 804.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his son Adam and his wife Karen.
He is survived by a son Jeffrey Brenchley and wife Jennifer of Indian Harbour Beach, FL; a sister Gayle Brenchley and wife Sue White of Mount Vernon, WA; a stepson Andrew Shoop of Bloomsburg; stepdaughters Theresa Swank and husband Ron of Myrtle Beach, SC and Bonnie Williams and husband Matt of Catawissa.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth, Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Brenchley family.
