Frances T. Orosz, age 65, of Rosewood Apartments, Berwick, died Saturday morning, January 7, 2012 a resident of Balanced Care at Bloomsburg after being admitted earlier in the week. She was also a resident of her former home on 10th Street in Berwick. Frances had been fighting a battle with ill health since 1998.
Frances was born on Monday, January 28, 1946 in Wilkes-Bare, a daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Kitcavage) Novick. She was a member of the 1964 Graduating Class of the G.A.R. Memorial High School in Wilkes-Barre. Throughout her early working career, she was a dedicated Visiting Nurse to many families, and was also later employed as a Manager for different Wendy's Restaurants. She was always a loving and caring wife and mother to her husband and her many children. She also felt the love and joy of being a Foster Parent to many children during her life.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 12 years, Mark V. Orosz; also surviving is two daughters: Debra of Wilkes-Barre and Barbara of Williamsport; and two step-sons: Vincent Orosz of Kingston and Richard Orosz and his wife, Jennifer, of Plains; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; among many of her foster children is a daughter: Priscilla Bloom of Bloomsburg; and also a brother: Edward Novick, Jr. of Wilkes-Barre.
Preceding her in death were several siblings: Ruth Rapp, Eleanor McDermott, James Novick, Bernie Novick and William Novick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 10 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, PA 18643 with Monsignor John Sempa, as celebrant.
