Floyd E. "Rags" Frey, age 59, of Bloomsburg, passed away from cancer Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at his home in Beaver Twp., where he resided for over 38 years.
Floyd was born on Wednesday, October 15, 1958 in Bloomsburg, a son of Kathryn E. (Rockwell) Frey and the late John E. Frey, Sr. Throughout his younger years, he attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Columbia Montour Area Vo Tech in 1977, majoring in Autobody. On October 10, 1992, Floyd married his loving wife, Margie I. (Crawford) Frey of Bloomsburg. For over 23 years, he was self employed doing business as Floyd Frey Sealcoating and Asphalt, Inc., Bloomsburg. He was previously employed by Roofcraft, Magee Carpet Co., Liberty Chevrolet, Crawford Chevrolet and State Farm Insurance. Floyd also had his own body shop and used car lot. He was also a member of the The Dream Machines Motor Club of Northeastern PA. Floyd was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, he enjoyed car shows and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 25 years, Margie I. Frey of Bloomsburg; son, Trent E. Frey at home; stepson, David L. Leighow and his significant other Janelle Burcicki and their daughter Avery of Danville; stepdaughter, Diana A. Leighow of Bloomsburg; his mother, Kathryn E. Frey of Bloomsburg; brother, John E. Frey, Jr. and wife Pamela J. of Berwick.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg with Pastor Shawn McNett, of Strawberry Ridge Trinity U.C.C., officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Frey family.
