Obituary
Flora E. Hontz, age 98, formerly of Almedia, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, a resident of The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born on Monday, June 25, 1923 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha Carter. For many years, Flora was employed by Danville State Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Flora was a member of Ridge Street United Methodist Church, Almedia.
In addition to parents, Flora was also preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hontz and several siblings. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her children: Thomas Hunter and his wife, Charlotte, of Winfield, Patricia Fox of Elysburg, and Robert Hunter and wife, Nancy, of Denver, CO, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Flora will be buried in Creveling Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Hontz family.
