Fay A. (Mausteller) Penman, age 99, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, surrounded by her loving daughters. Fay was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 60 years.
She was born on Friday, March 18, 1921 in Buckhorn, a daughter of the late Troy and Freda (Shoemaker) Mausteller. Fay graduated from the Benton High School in 1938. In May, 1946, Fay married her loving husband, Bruce J. Penman who preceded her in death on February 18, 2009. She was an avid reader, loved flower gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. Fay loved nature and enjoyed her daily walks well into her mid nineties. She looked forward to family gatherings.
In addition to her parents and husband, Fay was also preceded in death by two sons, Mark C. Penman on November 29, 1979, John R. Penman on September 4, 2018 and a sister, June Sutliff.
Survivors include her three beloved daughters, Vicki A. Penman of Bloomsburg, Sandra J. Sabol of Bloomsburg, Monica K. Howell of Millville, a grandson, Eric S. Sabol and his girlfriend Marylou Gutsie, a great granddaughter, Sierra L. Sabol and her boyfriend Tristan Brito, a sister, Jean Mosier of Orangeville, and a brother, Gerald Mausteller of Orangeville. Our loving mother will be greatly missed by her family and neighbor, Andrew Shaffer.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Fay will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Penman family.
