Eudora J. Hovancak , age 81, of Berwick, died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, a patient of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center where she had resided since June 14. Eudora was a resident of her home in Berwick for over 54 years.
Eudora was born on Thursday, August 9, 1934 in Berwick, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Howard Harmon and Martha (Jones) Curland. Throughout her younger years, Eudora attended the Berwick area schools, and later graduated from the Berwick High School in 1953.
On January 28, 1961, Eudora married her loving husband, Rudolph V. Hovancak. For over 8 years, Eudora was employed by Decorator Industries as a Seamstres until her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed spending her time playing Bingo, sewing, crocheting and camping.
Eudora was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years on their wedding anniversary, January 28, 2008.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie McCollin and her husband, David ,of Berwick, PA, 3 grandchildren: Matthew McCollin, Andrew McCollin, and Amanda Wick and 2 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Hovancak family.
