Erma J. Norquest, age 96, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her home in Scott Twp. where she lived for over 63 years.
Erma was born on Sunday, January 20, 1929, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Conrad and Anna (Price) Markle. She attended the Berwick High School. On July 1, 1949, she married her loving husband, Robert O. Norquest who preceded her in death on November 3, 2008. She was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Berwick, where she loved volunteering.
In addition to her parents and husband, Erma was also preceded by in death by her son, Dwight Norquest and a special niece, Dorothy Berlin.
Survivors include her four beloved children: Kay Norquest, Joan Drumm and husband Frank, Mary Jane Neyhard and husband John all of Bloomsburg and Robert Norquest and wife Virginia of Boyertown; 10 grandchildren: Sandra Kurtyka and husband Kyle, Jillian Norquest, Sharon Connolly and husband Jason, Lori Fenstemaker and husband Garon, Elizabeth Leiby and husband Alec, Rob Norquest and wife Kelly, Benjamin Norquest, Lyle Norquest and wife Danielle, Mark Drumm, John Neyhard and wife Meagan; 13 great-grandchildren: Adriana, Gavin, Ava, Addie, Dannyn, Liam, Lily, Robbie, Riley, Emma, Ella, Lincoln and J.P., as well as many nieces and nephews, special niece "friend", Kathy Yoder.
The family will provide flowers. The family extends our sincere thanks to the many nurses for the tender care of Erma from Geisinger Home Health and Hospice and especially Dr. Meloy and his staff.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Alan Langelli, Compassus Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Norquest family.
