Eric K. Rode, age 47, of Milton, passed away on Friday afternoon, January 27, 2023, with his loving family by his side at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on Tuesday, March 18, 1975 in Syracuse, NY, a son of Dennis R. Rode and Janet (Hendrickson) Rode. Eric graduated from the Tully High School, Tully, NY in 1993. He graduated from St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY in 1997 with a bachelor's degree in history, and Syracuse University in 1998 with a master's degree in Library and Information Sciences. On September 3, 2022, Eric married his loving wife, Maryann (Stine) Rode. Eric owned Camelot Home Inspections of Milton and was a member of the Catawissa Christian Church. He loved spending time with his family, woodworking, working on his model railroads, and especially enjoyed helping people. He loved the bands U2, TSO and was a huge Star Trek fan.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Maryann Rode of Milton, his father; Dennis R. Rode and his stepmother Kathi of Laporte, his mother; Janet Rode of Milton, four children; Kristopher Rode of Milton, Jeremiah Rode of Selinsgrove, Anneke Rode of Selinsgrove, Danielle Rode of Milton, a brother; Cliff T. Rode and his wife Lori of Parkersburg, WV, a niece, Johanna Rode of Parkersburg, WV., also surviving is Jamie Withers, mother of Kristopher, Jeremiah and Anneke.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

A celebration of life service will begin on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Rode family.
