Obituary

Elmer C. "Moe" Robbins, age 86, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday morning, September 20, 2025, at The Gardens at Orangeville. He was a lifelong resident of Bloomsburg.

Moe was born on Thursday, July 27, 1939 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Jesse and Hazel (Laycock) Robbins and was the last surviving member of 13 siblings. Throughout his younger years, he attended the Bloomsburg area schools. He worked as a gas line worker, followed by employment at Kawneer, Inc. as an aluminum worker for 35 years, until his retirement in 2000. On October 2, 1960, Moe married the former Cheryl Ann Pegg and would go on to share 65 beautiful years together. As a former Bloomsburg Moose, and Bloomsburg American Legion member, Moe was active in his community. He loved football and baseball, coaching Bloomsburg Senior Little League from 1975 to 1977, winning the League Championship in 1976. Moe was a fan of all things western and would enjoy spending his free time playing poker or shooting pool.

In addition to his parents and siblings, Elmer was also preceded in death by his son, Jesse Robbins.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Cheryl Robbins of Bloomsburg; two sons, Dean Robbins and wife, Karen of Danville, and Richard Lee Robbins and wife, Tammy of South Williamsport. He is also survived by six grandchildren, who he adored, as well as six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Robert Hettinger, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Eighth Street at Market, Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Robbins family.
