Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Brodeur, age 83, of Orangeville, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at her home in Scott Township where she resided for over twelve years.

Elizabeth was born on Tuesday, June 11, 1940 in Woonsocket, RI, a daughter of the late Donat and Alice (Caron) Champoux. She graduated from the St. Anne's High School, Woonsocket, RI in 1956. She expanded her education by attending St. Vincent's Nursing Academy, Worcester, MA, and graduated with a nursing degree in 1960. In 1961, she married her loving husband, Marshall R. Brodeur who preceded her in death, August 12, 1998. For many years, she was employed by Maria Joseph Manor, Danville, Norwood Nursing Home, Norwood, MA as a Registered Nurse until her retirement.

Elizabeth was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, she also volunteered at the Animal Resource Center, Bloomsburg. She devoted her whole life to others with her time, money and crafts. She will also be remembered for being a very giving person.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Richard "Pooch" Lemay.

Survivors include her two beloved sons; Michael R. Brodeur of Bloomsburg, Jamie R. Brodeur of Orangeville, six grandchildren; Corina Brodeur, Jacob Brodeur, Reily Brodeur, Robert Brodeur, James Brodeur, Jr., Emily Brodeur, three siblings; Carol Lemay of North Attleboro, MA, Richard "Dick" Champoux and wife Jeannine of Cumberland, RI, and Ronald Champoux and wife Jackie of Catawissa.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron Street, Bloomsburg with Rev. Richard J. Mowery, Celebrant. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Brodeur family.
