Elizabeth K. "Betty" Evans, age 88, a 50 year resident of East Third Street, Bloomsburg, died Friday, November 19, in Nottingham Village, Northumberland. She was born December 24, 1921 in Norristown, PA. Following graduation from the Norristown High School in 1939, she attended the Philadelphia Museum School of Art and also studies art at the Bloomsburg university for many years. She was a member of the North Mountain Art League and was a founding committee member of the Bloomsburg Renaissance. She was also a member of the first Presbyterian Church of Bloomsburg.
Betty was the widow of Samuel R. Evans who died March 25, 2008. Survivors include two daughters: Deborah E. Marek of Bloomsburg and Ann Keeler Evans and husband, Steve Mitchell, of Lewisburg; a son Thomas C. Evans and wife, Cindy, of Canton; a grandson Elijah R. Evans and wife, Meghan, of Danville; a granddaughter: Sarrah W. Evans of New Orleans, LA and a great grandson: Idris Ali Stoke. Betty was the last member of her immdieate family.
Services will be announced after the Holiday's by the Allen Funeral Home.
