Eleanor J. Seltzer, age 82, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, comfortably at home surrounded by her family. Eleanor was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg for over 17 years.
Eleanor was born on Friday, April 18, 1941 in Berwick, a daughter of the late Howard and Mabel (Fetterman) Belles. She was devoted to caring for her mother and brothers Howard and Donald. While also enjoying time with friends roller skating, dancing and bowling, where she met her future husband, Corvin. On September 5, 1959, Eleanor married her adoring husband, Corvin S. Seltzer Sr., whose Christ Centered marriage of almost 60 years was dedicated to caring and loving her 6 children, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, Bible Studies and cooking for family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Corvin, who passed October 27, 2018, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Belles.
Survivors include her six children: Linda L. Maher and husband Thomas of Merritt Island, FL, Karen K. Arceneaux and husband Donald of Diamond Head, MS, Corvin S. Seltzer, Jr. and wife Lori of Revere, PA, Beth A. Persun and husband Robert of Berwick, Bradley A. Seltzer of Bloomsburg and Faith M. Monroe and husband Jacob of Camden, MI; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and a brother Howard Belles and wife Dorothy of Massachusetts.
There will be a graveside committal service on Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyons, Shiloh Bible Church, officiating at the Mifflinville Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Seltzer family.
