Elaine W. Parks , age 78, of Millville, died on Saturday, May 6, 2017, a patient of The Gardens at Millville.
Elaine was born on Tuesday, September 27, 1938 in Sweet Valley, PA, a daughter of the late Remigius H. and Mary E. (Miller) Williams. Elaine attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Benton High School in 1956. Elaine expanded her education by earning an Associate Degree as a Nurse Technician. She was employed by Grandview Health Homes until her retirement in 2000.
Elaine was also a former member of Danville Women of the Moose. She enjoyed spending her time reading and playing cards.
In addition to her parents, Elaine was also preceded by a son, David H. Parks; a granddaughter, Jennifer A. Parks and three siblings: Hendrick E. "Moe" Williams, Louisa E. Lewis and Abram N. Williams. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include two children: Vickie E. Parks (Thomas E. Deater) of Danville and Donald H. Parks, Jr. (Irene) of Oceanview NJ; grandchildren William J. Lenches, III, Shanna E. Haden, John A. Lenches, Samantha I. Parks, and Brian J. Parks, and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a future date. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 West Main at Railroad St. Millville is honored to be serving the Parks family.
