Edward C. Wade, age 89, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, a patient of the Bloomsburg Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bloomsburg. Ed was a resident of his home in South Centre Twp. for over 30 years.

He was born on Thursday, September 13, 1929 in Newark, NJ, a son of the late Edward and Estelle (Rogers) Wade. For many years, Ed was employed by the Berwick Elks Lodge as a Professional Bar Tender until his retirement. Ed was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg and a member of the Pompton Lakes, NJ Elks Lodge No. 1895.

In addition to his parents, Ed was also preceded by his wife Christine J. (Johnson) Wade on September 23, 1993, his stepmother Grace Wade and a sister Alice Tomy.

Survivors include his two stepsons, William S. Clasen and his wife Carol of Oak Ridge, NJ, Ken Clasen and his wife Jan of Nevada, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg. Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 pm by the Berwick Elks Lodge #1138.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence, officiating. Graveside committal services will be held privately at a later date in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Wade family.
