Edward C. "Ed" Boudman, Jr., age 70, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, a patient of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Ed was a resident of Bloomsburg all of his life.
He was born on Wednesday, March 24, 1948 in Berwick, a son of Elva (Derrick) Boudman Livsey of Bloomsburg and the late Edward C. Boudman, Sr. Throughout his younger years, Ed attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1966. Ed expanded his education by attending Bloomsburg State College, and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education, specializing in Social Studies. On August 5, 1972, he married his loving wife, Mary (Barry) Boudman. For over 26 years, Ed was employed by Cabinet Industries, Danville as a Receiving Clerk and Forklift Driver until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Fire Company and Bloomsburg Fireman's Relief Association. Ed enjoyed spending his time fishing, bird watching and loved his pet cats.
In addition to his father, Ed was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Tom Livsey and a nephew Brian Boudman.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary M. Boudman of Bloomsburg, his mother, Elva Boudman Livsey of Bloomsburg, a brother, John R. Boudman and wife Linda of Hummelstown, and a nephew Edward Boudman and wife Jamie of Gilbertsville.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Ernest Simmers, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Boudman family.
