Edward H. Crossley, age 80, of Bloomsburg, passed on Sunday, January 21, 2024, a patient of the Sunset Ridge Healthcare Center, Bloomsburg. He was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 50 years.
He was born on Sunday, August 29, 1943, in Danville, a son of the late Paul and Silvia (Snyder) Crossley. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1963. On February 19, 1966, Edward married his loving wife, the former Josephine M. Urban, who preceded him in death on October 6, 2018. For over 33 years, he was self-employed as an upholsterer until his retirement in 2013. He was a member of the Bloomsburg Fire Police for many years. He enjoyed spending his time with four faithful dogs: Lady, Pebbles, Bailey and Lexi. His greatest joy was going on cruises with his wife.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Crossley.
Survivors include his two beloved children: Karen A. Wise and spouse Jeffrey of Northumberland, and Wayne E. Crossley of Bloomsburg, two granddaughters, Kaitlyn G. Crossley of SC, Emily E. Crossley of Bloomsburg, a sister-in-law, Georgia Crossley of Bloomsburg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wants to express gratitude for the Geisinger Dialysis and Kidney Transplant Teams. Because of their care and skill, he was able to see beautiful parts of the world and watch his two granddaughters grow.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Michael Spagnuolo, pastor of Catawissa Christian Church, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Crossley family.
