Edward Coladonato, age 74, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg died on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 a patient of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was a resident of his home in Scott Township for over 25 years.
Edward was born on Wednesday, August 18, 1937 in Atlas, PA a son of the late Pantaleon and Elizabeth (Kovach) Coladonato. He attended the Cleveland Township One Room Schoolhouse. Throughout his earlier years, he began his working career as a barber in the Numidia and Sunbury communities. Later in life, he was employed by RADO Mechanical Corp. in Berwick for many years and immediately prior to retirement he worked in the maintenance department of Days Inn, Danville.
Survivors include four children: Elizabeth Zajac and husband, Martin, of Berwick; and Tracy Rambo and husband, Ben, of Millville, Edward M. Coladonato and wife, Shirley, of Danville and Lori Sabatino and husband, Victor of Nazareth; grandchildren: Cheyenne Coladonato, Dakota Coladonato, Jessica Bargas, Zoe Zajac, Ryan Rambo, Naomi Rambo, Victoria Coladonato, Samantha Coladonato, Katelyn Moyle, Haylee Moyle, Mitchell Moyle, Reily Shoffler and Kya Shoffler; great-grandchildren: Maximus Bargas, Esperanza Bargas, Daliyah Bargas, Charlee Switzer and Maddix Moyle; sisters: Katherine Mindler of Catawissa, Rita Romeo of Berwick, Veronica Brassington of Elysburg, Jeanette Boguslaw of Catawissa and Rose Marie Schoch of Numidia; brothers: Fiedel of Florida and Joseph of Bloomsburg.
Edward was preceded in death by sisters: Marie Zolenovich, Florence Sedor and Elizabeth Llewellyn and brothers: Richard, Michael, Carmen, Bernard and Pantaleon, (Jr.).
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, November 21, from 12 noon until time of services from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, November 21 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph F. Fennessey officiating. Burial will be in Esther Furnace Cemetery.
