Dwight D. Norquest, age 47, of 724 Rhodes Street, Bloomsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22. He was born May 24, 1961 in Berwick, a son of Erma J. (Markle) Norquest of Bloomsburg and the late Robert O. Norquest.Dwight had been a resident of his South Centre Township home for 23 years. He was a 1979 graduate of Central Columbia High School and also received an Associate Degree from Luzerne County Community College.
As an electrician, he was employed by PP&L for the past 26 years.
Dwight was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Berwick. He was also a member of Washington Lodge # 263 F&AM and the Caldwell Consistory, and Moose Lodge #623, all of Bloomsburg. He was also a life member of the NRA.
His greatest enjoyment came from his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and archery.Survivors in addition to his mother, include his wife of 25 years: Betty (Coffman) Norquest, one daughter: Jillian Norquest and fiancé, Tyler Zanoline of Berwick; two sons: Benjamin Norquest and companion, Karen Pierce, of Berwick and Lyle Norquest of Almedia; two granddaughters: Riley Norquest and Ava Zanoline; three sisters: Kay Norquest, Joan Drumm and husband, Frank, and Mary Jane Neyhard and husband, John, all of Bloomsburg; and one brother: Robert Norquest and wife, Ginny, of Boyertown. Friends will be received Friday from 1 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1000 Orange Street, Berwick. His pastor, Rev. Peter Raser, will officiate. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions in his memory are suggested to St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg.
