Douglas L. Bryden, age 51, of . Bloomsburg died unexpectedly Monday, August 27, 2012 at his home. Douglas was born in Bloomsburg on Wednesday, April 19, 1961 .., a son of the late, John and Patricia Luke Bryden. He was residing in his family homestead with his children and wife.
After attending the Bloomsburg Elementary and Middle Schools, Douglas graduated from the Salisbury School of Connecticut in 1979. He completed his education at Franklin & Marshal College, Lancaster, PA.
As a Financial Advisor, he was a partner in the firm of LPL Financial Services of Williamsport. Douglas served as Vice President of the Bloomsburg Town Park Association and was a coach for his daughters teams in the AYSO Soccer Association.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years: Leslie (Weiss) Bryden; three daughters: Rebecca Sarah, Anne Patricia and Elizabeth Rachel all of Bloomsburg; two siblings: Constance Bryden of Tucson AZ and Matthew Bryden of Tulsa OK. Preceding in death besides his parents were two brothers: David Bryden and Phillip Bryden.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg. Memorial contributions are suggested to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, ww5.korman.org.
