Dorothy L. Potter, age 87, of Cameltown Hill Road, Danville, died Tuesday, December 13 in the Columbia Montour Hospice at The Bloomsburg Hospital. She had been in failing health since November 10.
Dorothy was a resident of her Danville area home since 2005. She was born on Wednesday, February 13, 1924 in Berwick, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Wolfe) Frey. She attended the Berwick Schools.
She assisted her husband in operation of Nan-Lou Mushroom Farm in Pine Twp., Columbia Co. and following his death she served as a Dietician at the Millville Health Center.
While a resident of Millville she was an active member of the Millville United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter: Mary Lou Potter, wife of Randi Olshefski and two grandchildren Emma and Silas. She was the last member of her immediate family. Preceding her was her husband of 34 years: Edward D. Potter in 1976, a daughter, Nancy Potter, in 1987 and three siblings.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the Millville Cemetery with Rev. Paul A. Converse, Sr., pastor of The Christian Gospel Fellowship, Iola, officiating. Memorial Contributions are suggested to Camp Victory, 58 Camp Victory Road, Millville, PA 17846-9141.
