Doris D. Good, age 84, of Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg died on Friday, January 07, 2011 a resident at Bloomsburg Health Care Center.
Doris was born on Wednesday, December 15, 1926 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late William A. and Odessa Boyer Deeter. She was a member of the 1944 Graduating Class of the Bloomsburg High School. She was employed by the Bloomsburg Silk Mill and the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc. Throughout her life, she was also a devoted wife and homemaker to her family. She attended the former First Church of Christ in Bloomsburg, currently Bloomsburg Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by, including her parents, three siblings: Albert Deeter, Kimber Deeter and Pearl Remley.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 61 years, Herbert Good, a daughter: Pamela Good of Bloomsburg; a son: Rodney Good and his wife, Cynthia, of Bloomsburg; two grandchildren: Joshua and Nicole Good; a great-grandson: Aiden Good; and two siblings: Hurley and Sonia Deeter.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 10 at 11 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home of 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg with her former pastor, Rev. Robert Hart, officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will be held in the New Rosemont Cemetery in Espy.
