Donna M. (Allen) Hower, age 59, of Danville and formerly of Bloomsburg, died on Thursday evening, January 22, 2015, a patient of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Donna was born on Friday, September 16, 1955 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Jacob and Reba (Whitmoyer) Allen. Throughout her younger years, she attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and graduated in 1974 from the Bloomsburg High School. For over 10 years, Donna was employed by the Bloomsburg School District with the Custodial Department until her health would not allow.
In addition to her parents, Donna was also preceded in death by two siblings: a brother, Mark Allen and a sister, Martha Harner.
Survivors include three sons: Michael Fosse and wife, Tess; Brian Fosse and wife, Melissa; and Ryan Fosse and wife, Ashley, all of Bloomsburg; six grandchildren; three sisters: Diane Cox and husband, Charles, of Bloomsburg; Bonnie Hack of Catawissa; and Kathy Watts of Bloomsburg; and three brothers: Harold Allen and wife, Diana; David Allen and wife, Barbara; and Daniel Allen and wife, Heather, all of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening, January 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon, January 30th at 1 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg with Rev. Nathan King of the Community Alliance Church in Lightstreet, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in Lime Ridge. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Allen and Fosse families.
