Donald W. Drumm, age 79, of Orangeville, died on Thursday morning, May 15, 2014 at his home surrounded by family and under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice.
Donald was born on Wednesday, April 24, 1935 in Mifflin Township, a son of the late Warner and Mary (Tobias) Drumm. Throughout his younger years, Donald attended the Bloomsburg area schools. On August 11, 1956, Donald married his loving wife, the former Mildred M. Broadt, of Bloomsburg. For many years, Donald was self-employed throughout the area as a truck driver. Donald also owned and operated an amusement business throughout Central Pennsylvania. He was also a member of the former Liberty Fire Company and the Fireman's Relief Association.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Everett in 2010.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Mildred M. Drumm of Orangeville; three sons: Donald W. Drumm and wife, Susan, of Bloomsburg; John E. Drumm of Danville; and Ronald E. Drumm and wife, Elizabeth, of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; a sister: Pauline Snyder and husband, Richard, of Danville; and a brother: Charles Drumm of Danville.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday afternoon, May 19 from 2 to 3 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Monday afternoon, May 19 at 3 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg with Elder Henry Shaffer, of the Community of Christ Church in Bloomsburg, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Drumm family.
