Donald E. Stock, age 69, of Bloomsburg and formerly of Plymouth, died on Thursday, March 20, 2014 a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Donald was born on Thursday, August 17, 1944 in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Edward and Helen Stock. Throughout his younger years, Donald attended and later graduated from the Wyoming Valley High School in 1963. Donald expanded his education by attending college prior to enlisting in the United States Army. On February 2, 1966, Donald enlisted with the United States Army where he served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War. On February 1, 1972, Donald was honorably discharged from his time of dedicated service to our country.
Donald was currently a member of the St. Columba Catholic Parish, and previously a member of the St. Vincent Catholic Parish in Plymouth. Donald was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m. from the St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron and Third Street, Bloomsburg with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence, as celebrant. Graveside committal services with full Military Honors will immediately follow in the St. Vincent Catholic Cemetery, Larksville.
