Donald W. "Sam" Evans, Jr., age 61, of Bloomsburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, September 30, 2020, at his Scott Twp. residence.
He was born on Wednesday, April 22, 1959 in Bloomsburg, a son of Betty M. (Harner) Evans and the late Donald W. "Wally" Evans, Sr. Donald graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1978. He was employed as a construction worker for several different companies until his retirement. He was a social member of the Bloomsburg VFW. Donald loved driving in the demolition derby at The Bloomsburg Fair, camping with family and spending time with his grandson, Carter, he also enjoyed taking his mother Betty for joyrides in his truck.
Survivors include his mother, Betty M. Evans of Bloomsburg, a son, Sam J. Evans and wife Amanda of Bloomsburg, a grandson, Carter C. Evans, four siblings; John Evans and wife Joyce of Bloomsburg, Chris Metzger of Bloomsburg, Barry Evans and wife Sharon of Numidia, Stephanie Evans and companion, Robin Stone of Bloomsburg, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John D. Kolenda, pastor of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Evans family.
