Donald Eugene Peck, Jr., age 55, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania died on Monday afternoon, December 16, 2013 a patient of Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Donald had been battling health challenges for the past several years.
Donald was born on Saturday, March 22, 1958 in Port Jefferson, Long Island, a son of Donald E. Peck, Sr. of Long Island and Marion (Radtke) Peck of Orangeville. In 1976, Donald completed his education after graduating from the Sachem High School in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York. Shortly after his education, Donald enlisted with the United States Army where he served his county faithfully while stationed in Germany for many years. Most recently, he was employed as a Truck Mechanic with Calyx Trucking Company, and helped organize and manage the flea market that gathers at the Garden Drive Inn in Hunlock Creek.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a daughter: Crystal Spence and husband, William, of Phoenixville; two sons: Donald J. Peck of Bloomsburg and Kyle Bilello of Long Island; four grandchildren; three sisters: Donna Felegy of Bloomsburg; Susan Olson and husband, Ronald, of Dawsonville, GA; Lois Delio and husband, Michael of Center Moriches, NY; and a brother: Kurt Peck of Clayton, NC.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday, December 21 at 10 a.m. also at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg. A graveside committal service will immediately follow in the St. James Cemetery, Stillwater.
