Donald Harry Parks, age 84, of Elysburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, a resident of Nottingham Village, Northumberland under hospice care. He was a resident of his home in Ralpho Twp. for over 20 years.
Donald was born on Sunday, November 5, 1939 in Orangeville, a son of the late Donald Fred and Etta (Creveling) Parks. He graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1958. On August 8, 1984, Donald married his loving wife, the former Cheryl V. Koster. For over many years, Donald was employed by Sunoco Station, Whippany, NJ as an automotive mechanic/station manager until his retirement in 2004. He was very proud of achieving the millionaires club when working for Bear Diagnostic Auto Company, Pen Argyle. Donald was a member of the Elysburg Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and also motorcycling and traveling with his wife.
In addition to his parents, Donald was also preceded in death by a son, David H. Parks, a granddaughter, Jennifer Parks and a brother, James Parks.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years: Cheryl V. Parks of Elysburg; two children; Donald H. Parks, Jr., and wife Irene Silva, of NJ, Vickie Parks of Danville; three stepchildren: John H. Horsey, Jr. of Redlands, CA, Marcia J. Williams and husband Jeff Waters, of Topping, VA, Robyn Costantino and husband Joseph, of Long Valley, NJ, eleven grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Regenea Parks, of Panther Valley, NJ, a sister, Sandra Young and husband Keith of Winfield, a brother, Ronald Parks and wife Carla of Buckhorn and many nieces and nephews.
