Donald G. Hunter, 91, of Danville PA., died on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
He was a lifelong public servant, a police officer, a veteran of the United States Army and co-founder of Hunter's Dairy Freeze, in Danville, which he owned and operated with his wife Margaret (Brady) Hunter, for 43 years.
He loved his family and his friends and is survived by his wife; four children: Richard Hunter and wife, Lynn, Linda Emrick and husband, Gary, Jane Swank and husband, Henry, Robert Hunter and wife Danique; seven grandchildren: Chris, Michael, Britta, Amanda, Alicia, Megan, and Katie; eight great-grandchildren: Allison, Justin, Isabelle, Calvin, Gabriel, Noel, Fletcher, and Matilda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was preceded in death by his son Donald Hunter Jr., and looked forward to seeing him again in heaven by the grace of his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Hunter family.
