Donald W. Drumm, age 100, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018, a patient of the Grandview Health and Rehab in Danville. Donald was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 75 years.
Donald was born on Saturday, July 28, 1917 in Beaver Twp., a son of the late Joseph and Fannie (Longaburg) Drumm. Donald was married to his loving wife the former Anna Yakim for sixty years until her death on December 6, 2000. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. For over 41 years, Donald was employed by Magee Carpet Mill as a Laborer until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of the Bloomsburg VFW Post #804 and the Bloomsburg American Legion Post #273.
In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was also preceded by a sister, Margaret Hippensteel and a brother, Leroy Drumm.
Survivors include his nephews, Joseph L. Delbo and wife Jean of Danville; Henry Tamanini and wife Patricia of Highspire; Joseph Yakim and wife Phyllis of Baltimore, MD; niece Verna J. Weniger of Danville; and a daughter Nancy Jones of York, PA.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2018, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. in with Rev. Greg Moore, officiating. Graveside committal services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Bloomsburg, with military services by the combined VFW and American Legion groups.
