Donald E. "Donnie" Miller, age 87, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, a patient of the Emmanuel Nursing Center, Sunset Lane Hospice, Danville. He was a resident of Madison Township for over 10 years.

Don was born on Thursday, May 12, 1938 in Ashland, a son of the late Marlin M. and Grace D. (Bixler) Miller. He grew up in Hegins and graduated from Tri Valley High School in 1956. He continued his education by attending Franklin and Marshall College, graduating in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in education. To begin his teaching career, Don moved to the Troy, PA area where he taught German and French, established a language lab, ran the archery club, and mentored the drama club until he returned to his hometown in 1977 to take over running Reed's Service Center. In 1986 he relocated to Deposit, NY to return to teaching, eventually moving to Harrison Valley where he completed his 30+ year language teaching career at Northern Potter High School in 2000.

Outside of work, Don enjoyed his time hunting, restoring Chevy Corvairs, remodeling his homes, roller skating, and playing Bingo. Don could often be found scouring auctions for treasures.

In addition to his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his great-grandson, Connor E. Hatfield.

Survivors include his three children: Marty R.M. Miller and wife, Lisa, of Bloomsburg, Kara L. Miller of Bloomsburg, Chris J. Miller, and wife Kim, of Afton, NY; six grandchildren: Kathryne, John, Kassandra, Rebecca, Angela and Jacob; three great-grandchildren: Joey, Alice, and Zoey; and a brother, Dennis M. Miller, and wife Alice of Valley View.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Miller family.
