Obituary

Donald C. Cox, age 95, of Millville, died on Thursday evening, April 12, 2012 a resident of Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He had been a resident of his home on State Route 42 since 1953.
Donald was born on Friday, February 16, 1917 in Strawberry Ridge, a son of the late Emry P. and Henrietta (Schooley) Cox. He received his education from the Jerseytown Area Schools. For over 19 years, he was most recently employed by Milco Industries in Bloomsburg in the Receiving Department until his retirement. Prior to his employment at Milco Industries, he was employed by Eastern Auto Forwarding Company for over 33 years. He was a faithful member of the St. Matthew Lutheran Church for many years. He was also a life-member of the former of the Liberty Fire Co. in Bloomsburg, a member of the Caldwell Consistory for over 50 years, and also the Oriental Lodge #460 F&AM in Orangeville. He was also a Life Member of the Millville Community Fire Company.
As the last member of his immediate family, Donald was preceded in death by his siblings: Clarence Cox, Lee Cox, Melvin Cox, Raymond Cox, Paul Cox, Ralph Cox, Mary Bostick, and Evelyn Harvey.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 67 years, Arlene (Breisch) Cox, having been married on October 14, 1944; two children: Jimmy R. Cox and wife, Linda, of Millville; and Donnette Molick and husband, James, of Catawissa; as well as two grandsons.
At the request of the family, Viewings and Services will be held privately at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 107 W. Main at Railroad Street, Millville. Memorial contributions in Donald's honor are suggested to: Columbia Montour Home Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
