Dolores R. Gregory, age 80, of Bloomsburg, went to her eternal home with Jesus on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was a resident of her home in Scott Township for over 61 years.
Dolores was born on Friday, September 17, 1943 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Chester and Cornelia E. (Myers) Lanehart, Sr. She graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1961. On April 1, 1962, Dolores married her loving husband, Jack L. Gregory. She was employed as a Clerk for the Honorable Donald Holter, District Justice for 4 years; Clerk and Office Manager for Honorable Donna J. Coombe, District Justice for 17 years; and for over 9 years, Dolores was employed by Honorable Scott W. Naus as a Clerk/Office Manager until her retirement in 2008. Post full time retirement from Columbia County, she spent the majority of the next 13 years serving the students lunches and smiles at Central Columbia High School. She was an active member of Shiloh Bible Church, Almedia.
Her favorite moments were with her best friend and husband, Jack, eating out, doing devotionals, and just spending time together. She enjoyed fond memories of yearly family vacations to Michigan to be with her extended family. She always loved spending time with her children and grandchildren attending their sporting and musical events and ceremonies. She also found incredible joy in knitting, cross stitching, reading, and serving others.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was also preceded in death by her three siblings: Chester A. Lanehart, Jr., Frances J. Lanehart, and Patricia DeWald.
Survivors include her beloved husband of almost 62 years: Jack L. Gregory of Bloomsburg, four children: Roxanne Showers and husband W. Kenneth of Bloomsburg, and their five children and five grandchildren, Scott James Gregory and wife Patti of Montgomery, and their three children, David Wayne Gregory and wife Nicole of Millville, and their three children and one grandbaby on the way, Michael John Gregory and wife Crystal of Berwick, and their five children and three grandchildren and an adopted granddaughter, Brandi M. Gregory of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Shiloh Bible Church, 123 Church St., Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Shiloh Bible Church with Rev. Dr. Douglas H. Lyon, officiating.
