Dennis Scott Raup, age 62, of Bloomfield, NY went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Friday, January 20, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with appendiceal cancer. Denny was born in Bloomsburg and was the son of the late Glenn and Elsie (Hess) Raup. He grew up in Lightstreet and was a 1978 graduate of Central Columbia High School, where he ran cross country and played on the basketball team. Denny graduated from Bloomsburg State College in 1981 with a BS degree in business management. He earned an MBA degree from Syracuse University in 1983. Denny's career path included work in human resources and leadership development.

He greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Denny loved long distance running with his golden retrievers on scenic trails and ran several marathons. He was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. Denny was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Bloomfield, NY. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Kimberly (Hessert) Raup; son Jordan Raup and his wife Jenna; daughter Jenna Siegrist and husband Cory; three grandchildren, Ava and Eliza Siegrist, and Benjamin Raup; sister, Debra Kneisley and husband Raymond; and a brother-in-law, Timothy Hessert, MD.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Lukes Way, Bloomsburg, PA, with Pastor John Mumper, officiating. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
