David J. Wilson, age 60, of Orangeville, died on Friday afternoon, December 5, 2014 at his home and under the care of Geisinger-Columbia Montour Home Hospice.
David was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1954 in Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania, a son of Jean (Flory) Wilson of Inverness, Florida and the late John Wilson. Throughout his younger years, he attended the Delaware Water Gap area schools, and graduated from the Stroudsburg High School in 1972. On May 14, 1982, David married the former Deborah Robison of Bloomsburg. They made their home locally in Orangeville for over 25 years. For over 36 years, David was employed by Verizon in Bloomsburg until his retirement in 2009. In addition to spending time with his family, David was a very enthusiastic fan of any type or style of car racing.
In addition to his mother, survivors included his beloved wife of 32 years, Deborah (Robison) Wilson of Orangeville; a son: Matthew Wilson also of Orangeville; and a sister: Carol Kircoaf and husband, Chuck, of Inverness, Florida.
A time of Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, December 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street in Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Wednesday evening, December 10 at 7 p.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg with Rev. Christian Dunlap, Chaplain of Geisinger-Columbia Montour Home Hospice, officiating. Graveside committal services will be held privately in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Wilson family.
