David A. Eck, age 46, of Catawissa, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at his home with his family and under the care of Columbia Montour Hospice. David was a resident of his home in Catawissa for over 8 years.
David was born on Thursday, September 4, 1969 in Reading, Pennsylvania, a son of the Robert A. Eck of West Reading and the late Kathleen A. (Schieck) Martin. David graduated from the Governor Mifflin High School in 1987. Following High School he attended Marlboro College, Marlboro VT. David expanded his education by attending Luzerne County Community College, and graduated with a Associate Degree in Business Management.
On May 2, 2009, David married his loving wife, Melanie (Pacoli) Eck formerly of the Philippines.
For over 6 years, David was employed by Milco Industries as a Manager. David enjoyed spending his time as an Ultra Marathon Runner, he also enjoyed hunting, the out of doors, motorcycle riding and blues music.
Survivors include his beloved wife Melanie (Pacoli) Eck, father, Robert A. Eck of West Reading, PA, son, Caleb A. Eck of Danville, PA, a son, Dylan A. Eck of Catawissa, PA, daughter, Emily T. Eck of Catawissa, PA, and a sister, Susan A. Wenrich and husband, Randy of Mohnton, PA.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg.
Funeral Services will begin on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Hospice Chaplain, Rev. Chris Dunlap, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Eck family.
