Obituary

David R. Cox, age 78, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday evening, October 11, 2020, a resident of the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.
Born October 25, 1941, in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Ralph and Laretha Cox of Bloomsburg.
David attended Bloomsburg Area School District. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 23 years and retired as a Staff Sergeant.
David worked at AJ's produce in Bloomsburg, TRW/Textron in Danville before they closed their doors. David then worked at the Berwick Ribbon Factory and then at RR Donnelley & Sons before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Cox, of Bloomsburg, his two children, Kelly, wife of Allen Hower, of Berwick, and Kerry, wife of Kenneth Henry, of Ashburn, VA and his grandchildren Krysta, Kyler and Karley Hower and Kade Henry.
He is preceded in death by a granddaughter Kyla Hower on November 12, 1999.
David was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He loved NASCAR and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Cox family.
