Darlene K. Rupert, age 69, of Bloomsburg, died on Saturday, May 5, 2018, a patient of the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Darlene was a resident of her home in Bloomsburg since June 11, 1992.
Darlene was born on Friday, November 5, 1948 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Lester E. and Betty D. (Keller) Fisher. Throughout her younger years, Darlene attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1968. Darlene was a member of the Catawissa Senior Citizen Center, she enjoyed spending her time visiting yard sales, spending time at the beach, and playing Bingo.
Survivors include her self proclaimed "Better Half" of over 25 years, Rodney W. Kitchen, two daughters: Jennifer Kay Degman and fiancé, Brady Schroer of Asheville, NC and Daffney K. Walter and husband, David, of Mt. Carmel, 4 Grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and two siblings: Kerry E. Fisher and wife, Irene, and Bonnie L. Dove and husband, Richard, both of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc. 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 pm with Rev. Steven Hummel, officiating.
Private Graveside committal services will held on Wednesday, May 9, in Elan Memorial Park. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving Darlene's family.
