Daniel A. Peckne, age 70, of Bloomsburg, died on Tuesday evening, December 2, 2014 a resident of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he was a resident for the last three years.
Danny was born on Monday, August 7, 1944 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Vincent and Josephine (Geiger) Peckne. Following his graduation from the Berwick High School in 1961, Danny joined the United States Navy where he faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War.
As a professional roofer, Daniel was employed by A.J. Roofing of Conyngham for over 25 years. He was a member of the Bloomsburg American Legion Post #273 and the Ft. McClure VFW Post #804 of Bloomsburg.
On October 2, 1978 Daniel married Anita Richart who survives as well as a brother: Earl Peckne of Trevorton.
At the request of the family, all services at this time will be held privately. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St. Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Peckne family.
