Dale W. Strauser, 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Riverton Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Allentown.
Born on October 30, 1936 to the late Wilson and Hazel (Hauer) Strauser, Dale was raised on a farm outside of Jerseytown. He graduated from Millville High School in 1954 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Dale dedicated over 40 years of his working life to Sears, retiring in 1999 as a service manager.
On October 8, 1960, Dale wed the love of his life, the former Sandra Fritz. Dale enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and tending to his sizeable garden in Millville each year. He took great pride in his garden and the work that went into it. Some of his happiest times were spent at the annual “Grammy & Pappy Camp,” where he treasured making memories with his granddaughters.
Above all, Dale will be remembered for the way he cared for others. He always looked out for his family and friends, but Dale was just as willing to lend a hand to a stranger, never hesitating to help someone in need. Those who knew him will remember him for his generous spirit, and the many ways he made a difference in their lives.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sandra; his children: Debra Dewalt, Michael Strauser and wife, Carol, and Brian Strauser and wife, Gina; his beloved grandchildren: Lindsey Seuren and husband, Greg, Megan Billera and husband, Alec, Gina Boris and husband, Andrey, Amy Smith and husband, Travis, Hazel Strauser, Charlie Leininger, and Dominic Leininger; and three great-grandchildren: Noah, Judah, and Calvin.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his siblings, Doris Ann Hess and Darwin Strauser.
Private services for Dale will be held at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Bloomsburg, is honored to be serving the Strauser family.
