Obituary

Dale W. Heffline, age 72, born on February 3, 1953, passed away on Sunday October 5, 2025 at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Berwick. A native of Pennsylvania, Dale lived a life marked by perseverance, compassion, and service to others.

A gifted athlete, Dale excelled in high school earning letters in football, baseball, and wrestling and went on to play collegiate soccer. His early discipline and drive carried into his professional life, where he worked as a former executive chef, automotive finance manager, and later as a certified recovery specialist.

With 34 years of recovery, Dale dedicated his life to helping others find freedom, healing, and hope. As a mentor, advisor, and counselor, he guided and supported hundreds on their journey toward recovery, always emphasizing his life's motto: "ODAAT - One Day at a Time." His deep care for others and steadfast belief in second chances left an enduring impact on countless lives.

Dale was preceded in death by his son; Jason Paul Heffline, a sister; Pamela Heffline, a brother; Dennis R. Heffline, his father; Robert W. Heffline, and his mother; Joy L. (Conklin) Heffline.

He is survived by his brother Darryl J. Heffline and his wife Dana P. of Trophy Club, TX, a niece; Ashlyn Monds and her husband Jordan of Tampa, FL, a nephew; Nate Heffline of Trophy Club, TX, a great-niece; Charlotte Monds, a great-nephew; Thomas Monds, along with many friends and those he considered family through shared faith and recovery.

Dale lived his life with unwavering faith, humility, and a heart for service always reminding those he helped and loved to take it "One Day at a Time." His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, encouraged, and restored.

"Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34 (NIV).

A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 260 East Seventh St., Bloomsburg.

Funeral Services will begin on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Steven C. Hummel, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Heffline family.
