Cooper Dizon Doclosen, aged 7 months, died in his mother's arms on October 10, 2022, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. After struggling with chronic lung disease of prematurity and pulmonary hypertension for several months, he passed peacefully to the Lord.
Cooper enjoyed holding hands, having his cheek stroked, and his hair brushed. He loved to hear songs and stories from his siblings and parents. Cooper was known for his sweet smiles and "side eye" by nurses and family alike.
Cooper is deeply loved by his large family including parents (Kari Whitesell Doclosen, Oliver Doclosen), siblings (Gavin Doclosen, Isla Doclosen), grandparents (Donna Whitesell, Joven Doclosen, Julieta Doclosen), aunts (Kristen Dawn, Kimberly Larson, Kathryn Briede, Melissa Whitesell, Vivienne Smith, Marija Doclosen, Arlene Griffin), uncles (Jeff Dawn, John Larson, Kevin Whitesell, Kevin Briede, Kyle Whitesell, Jed Doclosen, James Smith), and cousins (Jack Larson, Allison Larson, Carolyn Dawn, Ethan Briede, Caitlin Briede, Liam Whitesell, Charlotte Whitesell, Nolan Smith, Travis Smith). He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Stephen Whitesell.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, October 17, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg, PA.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin Tuesday, October 18, 2022, 10 am at St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St, Bloomsburg, PA. Graveside services will immediately follow, New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc. is honored to be serving the Doclosen family.
