Connie E. Barnes, age 73, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Sunday evening, April 24, 2022, at Grandview Health and Rehabilitation Center, Danville. Connie was a resident of Bloomsburg all of her life.

She was born on Wednesday, March 2, 1949 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late Lamar H. and Margaret G. (Heimbach) Shaffer. Throughout her younger years, Connie attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1967. Connie was employed by Walmart, Bloomsburg as a Department Manager until her retirement. She enjoyed spending her time watching movies, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard W. Barnes, Jr., Michael R. Barnes and wife Christie, Keith B. Barnes, all of Bloomsburg, 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Linda Johnson and husband Edward of Bloomsburg, Christine R. Bolinsky and husband David of Bloomsburg, and a brother, Lamar Shaffer and wife Denise of Whitehall, PA.

Private graveside committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Barnes family.
