Clara E. Singley, age 93, of Bloomsburg, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her Main Township home under the care of Compassus Hospice.
She was born on Friday, November 21, 1930 in Main Twp., a daughter of the late Irvin and Carrie (Young) Campbell. Throughout her younger years, Clara attended the Bloomsburg Area Schools. On October 28, 1950, Clara married her loving husband, John L. Singley, who preceded her in death on November 8, 1995. For many years, Clara was employed by several mills in the Bloomsburg area including, R & G Silk Mill and Susan's Spinning Mill.
She was a member of the Berwick Senior Center, the Bloomsburg Red Hat Society, and the Homemakers (Stuffers). Clara enjoyed spending her time riding motorcycles with her husband making a trip to Canada. She liked to play cards, camping trips and loved the Bloomsburg Fair and area carnivals.
In addition to her parents and husband, Clara was also preceded in death by her four siblings; Millie Shafer, Robert Campbell, Edwin Campbell, and Dorothy Gause.
Survivors include her three beloved children; daughter, Vickie A. Houser of Berwick, son, Kenneth A. Singley and his wife Connie of Bloomsburg, daughter, Diane and her husband John, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.
At Clara's request there will not be any services. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the Singley family.
