Clara E. Hosler, age 68, of Berwick, died on Saturday morning, November 16, 2013 a resident of Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care and under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice.
Clara was born on Sunday, July 1, 1945 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of the late James and Jennie (Oman) Parker. Throughout her younger years, Clara attended and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1963. For over 20 years, she was employed with the Custodial Department of Bloomsburg University unit retiring in 2009. Throughout her life, she attended different Methodist Churches. Clara always enjoyed spending her time playing cards and shopping at garage sales.
Clara was preceded in death by three brothers: Jay, Arthur and Norman Parker.
Survivors include her husband: Conway Hosler of Berwick; a daughter: Cindy Docalavich and husband, Thomas, of Kirkwood, NY; two sons: Barry Bennett and wife, Christine, of Mifflinville; and Robert Bennett II and wife, Amber, of Danville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister: Dorothy Artherton of Bloomsburg; and two brothers: Clark Parker and wife, Dolores, of Danville and Harold Parker and wife, Janet, of Bloomsburg.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday morning, November 21 from 9 to 10 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Street, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will also begin on Thursday morning, November 21 at 10 a.m. from the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Dr. Gary D Weaver, officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
