Clair R. "Randy" Collins, Jr., age 67, of Bloomsburg, died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in the Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital. Randy was a resident of Bloomsburg his entire life.
Randy was born on Friday, February 4, 1949 in Bloomsburg,the only child of the late Clair R., Sr. and Evelyn (Henrie) Collins. Throughout his younger years, Randy attended the Bloomsburg area schools, and later graduated from the Bloomsburg High School in 1967. Following graduation he faithfully served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
For over 18 years Randy was employed by Frosty Valley Country Club as an Maintenance/Grounds Keeper until his health would no longer allow.
Randy was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg American Legion Post 273, Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436 BPOE, Berwick Slavonic Club, Danville Fire Companies Continental and Washies.
Survivors include his sister, Susan Price of West Palm Beach, FL; cousins, Betty Long of Bloomsburg, and, Myron Long of Berwick, PA; aunt, Marjorie Long of Berwick, PA; neices, Karen Shadle of Berwick, PA, and Kelly Ohl of West Palm Beach, FL; and nephew, Robert Ohl of West Palm Beach, FL.
Graveside Services will begin on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 11:00 am in New Rosemont Cemetery. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Collins family.
