Chris A. Shultz, age 40, of 726 Bottom Rd., Millville, died Wednesday, January 27 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She had been battling leukemia since July 2009. Chris was born on Sunday, March 16, 1969 in Bloomsburg, a daughter of Dave and Kay Lou (Creasy) Case. She graduated in 1987 from the Millville High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University and a Master's degree from Wilkes University. From 1990 to 2009, Chris taught mathematics at the Millville High School. She loved teaching and enjoyed her students very much. Chris's greatest joys were found in family. She treasured her sons and enjoyed watching their sporting events. They spent wonderful times at the Susquehanna River in Montgomery and were very close. Chris was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Irvin Creasy; her paternal grandparents, Charles and Gladys Case, and her mother-in-law, Marcy Shultz. Survivors include her loving husband and high school sweetheart, Mark B. Shultz. They would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on August 4, 2010. She is also survived by her wonderful sons: Derek and Drew, both at home; a sister: Jennifer Weatherill and her husband, Chad; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Creasy, of Millville, father-in-law, Paul Shultz, of Bloomsburg and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Mill-Green United Methodist Church, Millville, from 2 to 5 p.m. Memorial services will begin at 5 p.m. with her pastor, Rev. Richard Leonard, officiating. Services are in the care of the Allen Funeral Home, Bloomsburg.
