Obituary

Charles R. St. Clair, age 83, of Riverside, passed peacefully at Maria Hall on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

Charles was born on Friday, February 26, 1937 in Danville, a son of the late Hugh and Caroline (Holdren) St. Clair. He graduated from the Danville High School. During his high school years, he worked on is father's farm. Throughout his adult years, he worked at the Danville State Hospital, TRW and retired from Merck after 23 years.

For 55 years Charles was married to his loving spouse, Janice R. (Todd) St. Clair who passed away June 13, 2015. His hobbies included hunting, fishing (trout fishing in Pennsylvania and lake fishing in Maine) and attending high school football and basketball games. He coached Danville Little League, helped out at Kipps Run Swim Club and was a member of Southside Fire Company and Danville Elks. He was a member of the Pine Street Evangelical Lutheran Church of Danville.

In addition to his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers: Hugh St. Clair, William St. Clair; sisters: Betty Jane Lynn, Rose Angus, Barbara Jean Pisczak, and a granddaughter Pamela Marie Cooper.

Charles is survived by three children: Cheryl Cooper of Riverside, Russell St. Clair and wife, Jeanette, of Palmyra, Karen Evans and husband Tim, of St. Leonard, MD; nine grandchildren: Kent Cooper, Sara Cooper, Hannah Cooper, Elizabeth St. Clair, Samantha St. Clair, Jessica St. Clair, Jesse Evans and and wife, Moriah, Ryan Evans, and Audrey Evans, one great grandson: Jude Evans and siblings: Anna Schlott of Riverside, Margaret Moyer and husband, Robert, of Titusville, FL, and Nancy (Robert) Oliver and husband, Robert, of Lancaster, PA.

Funeral Services will private at the convenience of the family. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth Streets, Bloomsburg is honored to be serving the St. Clair family.
