Charles F. Spraggins, Jr. , age 54, of Bloomsburg, died on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at his home. Charles was a resident of his home in Bloomsburg for over 25 years.
Charles was born on Tuesday, November 12, 1963 in Chicago, Il, a son of the late Charles F. Spraggins, Sr. and Vonzella (Newsome) Hawkins of Chicago Il.
Throughout his younger years, Charles attended Chicago area schools, and later graduated from Lindbloom High School in 1981. He expanded his education by attending Western Illinois University, and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1985.
Charles was employed by PCI Promatec Susquehanna Nuclear as a Field Coordinator. Charles was a member of the Bloomsburg Elks Lodge #436 B.P.O.E. and the Bloomsburg American Legion #273. Charles was also an avid sports fan.
In addition to his father, Charles was also preceded by his step father, James Hawkins who was instrumental in his up bringing.
Survivors include his mother: Vonzella Hawkins of Chicago and two sisters: Micha' Hawkins and Christie Hawkins, both of Chicago.
A time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Allen Funeral Home, Inc., 745 Market at Eighth St., Bloomsburg. Friends and family will also be received on Wednesday, from 10am to 11 am at the First English Baptist Church Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at the First English Baptist Church, 700 Millville Rd., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Dr. Lee Barnhardt, officiating. The Allen Funeral Home, Inc., is honored to be serving the Spraggins family.
